0_Concept.

Plaza de la Cebada. Madrid. A new educational space for the city is required. What’s the role of education in society? And what’s the role of new technologies in education and society?

1_Playing in the void.

Based on creative destruction theories, a Virtual Reality school is proposed. Somehow everything we create is going to be destroyed os transformed, so applying this to education is it posible to say that moving away from traditional concepts, is it posible to develop a Virtual Reality workflow, which would permit an exceptional development of children creativity and possibilities, making them able to create everything they want to.

3_Virtual or real?

So, is it possible to create a parallel virtual reality in where children would play and develop their skills? Can we be living in real space while other situations are happening in the virtual world?

4_Urban Square // Virtual space

The proposal tries to include the square into city public spaces network, by letting people be part of the process.

How does it work? For real space there exist a set of selfcontrollable elements such as lights, humidity sensors, screens… which are gonna respond to people needs. People would decide what happens there through interactive equipment.

For virtual space, a complete Virtual Reality infraestructure is set underground. There is where the education appears. All the educational process is going to be reflected on what happens on the Virtual world. Thanks to informatics an technology everything is possible in Technologic.

Virtual Reality Learning Space. 3 rooms in order to learn how the system works, and what are the possibilities of Virtual Reality. Everything developed here has a reflect on the Virtual Square. Free space will be used as an exposition room, and materials and works from educational activities will be there exposed so that people could know what is people learning.
