Hello dear friends,

Here we are once more with the weekly update. And today IS THE DAY. The new and cool competition is out and we are ready to start with enthusiasm and fun.

What is it all about, you say? Well this time the competition is “Making- Alternative designs for factorories”. The aim of this competition is to develop a design proposal for the factory typology, intended as a place of creation and processing of goods of any kind. It is asked to the participants to create innovative and unconventional projects on this theme, questioning the very basis of the notion of factory.

Factory noun [C]: A building or group of buildings where goods are manufactured or assembled chiefly by machine.

Like always we want to explore and create a debate that is unconventional for this typology and like, you have learned by now, we will give you with this newsletter, insights on the topic that will explore many fields (not only the ones of designs) in order to create something memorable and new and to also have a constante communication between us and you!

If you click here you will find all the necessary info about the competition: special, early and regular registration, the rules, the jury, the info on the project and of course the rest of the calendar that will explain in detail all the necessary steps!

So with this said we hope we sparked your interest and of course your imagination! So please don’t forget to register or have people register on our website. Also don’t forget to visit our Facebook page for any other further info and also to ask questions you might have!

We don’t want to leave you empty handed so, to make things a bit fun, we want you to do two things:

1. SEE: This Italian artist is an amazing designer. Johnny Cobalto maybe can inspire you with colors and textures so don’t hesitate to click here and let your imagination flow.
2. HEAR: Bamboo, a group that plays music, well, without music but just with the help of ordinary elements of every day life produced in (guess what?) factories and more!

Enjoy your day and stay tuned!
