| 1 | Green Space Industries is a distributed autonomous corporation that provides the infrastructure for the world of work. We describe and communicate our everyday lives. We must stress ourselves and express ourselves, we must work alone in a team. Sitting back to back, we rarely talk to our colleagues. Our office stretches across India, Ethiopia, China, America and beyond. We find ourselves working for new employers on a daily basis. Sometimes we become the employers. The hourly reconfiguration of the production line dictates our daily work. We offer the goods and services we can provide, from our workstations to a global market. We live for human intelligence tasks and we strive to complete our Masters qualifications so that we might moderate, identify, classify and transcribe new material. We are ‘flexible’ workers, a task can come at a moment’s notice. We no longer need to carry our work home at night, work is home and it sleeps beside us.
‘Greenspace’ is an array of bedroom factories, home offices and travelling cubicles. It is an array of spaces decentralised and atomised around the world. Workers initiate observational sequences of their labour environment. They must submit photographs of their workspaces. The photograph is then reconstructed in 3 dimensions. These spaces are rearranged to form a chain of production. Workers observe and moderate each other in this shared space. |
