… We will bring it to our neighbourhood. We are used to living an established routine of repetitive causes and effects; we tend to believe that no change will ever affect the global order. However, the current moment proves to us the fragility of the general balance. A pandemic is able to shake and reorder the worldwide life.
When facts do not happen the way we expected, the way they always did, it is us the ones who must change the way we expect them to happen. In terms of living, this originates a new concept in which, accepting that we can not fulfil our usual relationships in a safe way on the street, we bring the street to the safe environment of our building.
Our building has been conceived as the extension of the public space of the city into our neighbourhood, creating safe outdoor spaces with several services and areas that cover the different necessities of the residents, such as chill areas, children spaces, cinema, gym…
The housing units are open and flexible, capable of adapting themselves to the changing necessities of the residents through mobile partitions, being able to isolate and make independent some of the areas.
