-FINALIST of SOCIAL DISTANCING HOUSING BLOCK Competition
During the pandemic the world seems to be pretty short, seems that outside have only 4 people coming and going and the rest is unreal, abstract, with some little fragments of life and it makes everything even shorter. When we look at through the window, some people see a bunch of buildings, others may have nothing to look at, but it’s crazy to imagine we built together a huge society and we don’t even know thouse who live by our side. Isolation has been the concept of our constructions since a long time, now the pandemic only shows up the loneliness insert in our buildings, full of privacy and so poor in humanity. All this contextualized plus the fast technological changes, major social problems and yet literally villains running nations as leaders, well, it’s a reality worthy of a cyberpunk script, and here we dream of spaces that have relationships as a basis. So, how about to be able to drink a coffee with your neighbor through the balcony, or share homemade recipes, share conversations, food, do some yoga in the bubble with a friend who lives below, etc. If so, would social isolation be that lonely?
