The future public space is a natural and technological place.
The future public space is a place where gather, meet, work and product.
Future cities are vertical dense metropolis due to the increase of the population. Therefore, the public spaces move up and multiply.
What’s Up is a space of soft mobility and connection that involves the total height of cities, creating a new morphology. The actual ground will be a re-naturalized, resilient and permeable place where insert agricultural production to create a green and circular economy. At the same time this place aims to become a bucolic landscape that will react to climate crisis. A new layer of public space will be added in the verticality of the city. Roofs, public buildings, galleries and balcony will join what we now call squares, parks and streets. All of these will be composed by natural elements and technological devices to generate renewable power.
A new walkway on one hand will bring together all these proposes and on the other it will connect all the different part of the cities, from the suburbs to the historical centers, providing the possibility to everyone to have equal rights in the use of public space.
