A social experiment on Neuroarchitecture

It is based on how architecture affects the human brain, in other words on neuroarchitecture, and it is also a criticism about the “intelligent” future of the cities.

According to research from numerous universities, multiple spatial elements, can have different impact on the function of human brain, thus creating different feelings and capabilities.

At the same time, multiple architectural elements, shapes and materials, can influence in a different way the human brain, producing specific brain waves.

Based on the above research, a building structure is created, which is based on the excessive use and repetition of these elements.

This social experiment, is taking place in Patras, Greece, in a specific unexploited site, previously working as a train station.

Respectively, the three levels are configurated, that, from bottom to top, as seen on the plan, serve functions such as work, education and habitation.

The section shows the three levels, from top to bottom: work, education and habitation.
