The outbreak of COVID-19 turned out to be one of the biggest global emergencies of recent history, and the number of victims will not be the only consequence. As Bruno Latour pointed out, we can consider the coronavirus crisis as the rehearsal before the upcoming climate crisis. We can use the experience and knowledge we have after dealing with pandemic for over six months now to rethink spatial development.
It is clear now that we need to change the way we live in a city. We believe that we got to the turning point in history, where for the first time, we need to put the needs of earth ahead of ours.
We propose the re-densification of existing housing and creating vertical structures to create new places to live and work. The horizontal division of structure represents landscapes of the specific land. The vertical division of functions creates places to live, work, and leisure on each level and make it possible to develop the structure further depending on needs. We assume that the whole life can be lead within it. The land itself would be accessible but is released as much as possible from human damaging activity.
