NonA Weekly: SHARING IS CARING
1. BEYOND THE CAR – THE FUTURE OF URBAN MOBILITY
The majority of car journeys are made by just one passenger; a hugely inefficient way to get around. It is expected that the FUTURE of (powered) urban transport will be in much smaller personal vehicles, and will encourage the use of more semi-autonomous transport systems.
2. HOW SHARED MOBILITY WILL CHANGE THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
While sharing cars likely means slower growth of vehicle sales, it also suggests strong new OPPORTUNITIES for automakers, suppliers, and many more mobility players.
3. HOW TO MAKE URBAN MOBILITY CLEAN AND GREEN
Population growth, economic development and continued urbanisation will lead to a strongly increasing demand for urban transport. This growth will more than cancel out any CO2 emissions reductions made possible by new low- and zero-carbon technologies.
4. SHARED MOBILITY PRINCIPLES FOR LIVABLE CITIES
These principles, produced by a working group of international NGOs, are designed to GUIDE urban decision-makers and stakeholders toward the best outcomes for all.
5. SHARING INSIGHTS FOR SHARED MOBILITY
Cities are encouraging citizens to use SHARED mobility, but how can we make shared mobility profitable in the long-term? How is automotive industry shifting to mobility service providers? How will the automotive players adapt to less cars-oriented cities?
6. WANT TO REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT? HERE’S HOW
We’ve learned by now that by making small changes, we can make a big impact. And this goes for our personal lives as well as the lives of those around us. This is true in terms of both the little things we can do for the ENVIRONMENT, like cycling to work instead of jumping in the car, as well as for the small financial boosts we can give ourselves. Understanding this link helps you to look at positive changes that you might be able to make.
Stay creative and see you all next week!
