Another year has passed so quickly!
Looking back, what was the year for you?
For better or worse, we are leaving 2022 behind. Today, when everyone remembers the past, we also would like to take you to some memories:
Here you are, again, your one and only: 2022 NonA Almanac!
2022 is almost over. It has been a year with the coronavirus epidemic, lockdowns, wars and numerous casualties.
Strange times we live.
Still, we were pretty busy for you and as always, you were hell of creative and found wonderful solutions for the future and today’s problems.
- We had more than 800 participants among our several competitions only in 2022.
This year, we did a lot of brainstorming on #Renewable Energy Sources, #Experimental Representation #Virtual Reality, #Urban Mobility and #AI Tools.
- We had 8 closed competitions in total and 4 still on-going – with 8 central themes.
- Co-organised by the Urban Planning & Design Institute of Shenzhen (UPDIS), the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), the international agency ARQ and curated by Non Architecture, we held Community 2050 with more than 300 participants.
- Considering the current conflict situation due to the War between Russia and Ukraine, we launched the WAR CITIES – Utopian and Dystopian Visions Competition where all the profit donated to Voices of Children in Ukraine.

- We launched the very first edition of an AI competition, our one and only, fun and quick AI Architecture: Horrible Houses.
- Since the first edition was such a success and you loved so much our 3D printed trophy, for also this year, we recently presented Non Architecture Award 2022.
