Tidal Oriented Development (TOD) is an emerging type of civic infrastructure that integrates sustainable living, research, innovation, potable water production, and hydroponic agriculture. This integration of uses and functions will leverage and harness the renewable power of tidal energy patterns, and geothermal activity along coastal metropolises.
TODs will assist in potable water production through desalinization procedures, enable hydroponic agriculture and food production, and facilitate sustainable urban living. Furthermore, TODs will endeavor to serve as a key piece of innovative and sustainable infrastructure that is self-sustaining, powerless, yet powerful.
