-FINALIST of Archi-Hack: Oil Platform Competition
The Transdifferentiation Tower is the result of a heuristic architectural thought process that is articulated at the intersection of the world of oil rigs, social revendication, and scientific research.
This project explores how a scientific revendicating group synthesizes a new form of energy, which directly challenges the oil hegemony. In their fight against industrial greed, the Blastêma group infiltrates a platform and takes control of it. Using their discovery, a blob with enhanced capabilities, they invade the extraction and communication systems, then use the blob for its transdifferentiating, adapting, and transforming capabilities.
The control is now established with this blob, integrated with the platform, seeping deep into its structure. For some, this action could flirt with terrorism, technological war or even a coup d’état depending on the location. However, the morality of the boarding becomes more obvious when the organization uses the new energy from the Tower to electrify the world in a sustainable way.
