The New York Times on the 15th of Feb, 2021 published an article under the title “The Downside to Life in a Supertall Tower: Leaks, Creaks, Breaks” mentioning the failure of the 432 Park Avenue skyscraper as what the residents said. Besides, more than a quarter of the building is empty and just voids, which raised the voice of critics as well.
In addition, studies showed that living in a high-rise building might affect residents and cause psychological problems. The building is a luxurious building and very few people can afford to live in the building and most are not from NYC and residents made it their second or even third home so most of the days are empty especially after the spread of Covid-19.
As more people moving to cities and the main idea of the project is to re-adjust the design to become accessible to all citizens of NYC and all the people have the right to enjoy the beautiful view of their city in a vertical park. The project contains various activities distributed randomly in a vertical way along with the skyscraper that would work on encouraging the people to continue their journey to reach the far top of the park while enjoying the NYC view from above which is the main purpose of the design.
