Based on the typical building structure and urban densification of Manhattan, the compensation of the displacement of the original natural space is thematised.
In the ground plan, the original landscape space, consisting of trees and green and water areas, is restored and staggered in height according to the use and building development, so that a vertical sequence of gardens on terraces and roof areas is created. Inside, green bridges are planned in the hall and winter gardens in the residential towers.
The gardens serve as recreation for the residents, as a habitat for flora and fauna and to improve the urban climate and biodiversity.
The 60m wide and 120m long development fills a field in the Manhattan street grid. The street alignments are taken up in the lower floors. The towers standing on the base ensure lighting and ventilation. Their height is determined by the distance to the neighbouring buildings.
Shops and restaurants are planned on the ground floor. On the floors above, office and commercial uses are arranged around a central hall. Towers with residential uses are located on this base.
