KUNSTHAL-Destructuration of masS
Right another time where sportsmen and art lovers were the same people.
Right another time where architects and coaches have to work together for the best infrastructure.
That’s why we have to integrate a place for relation with the body in the Rotterdam ‘s Kunsthal. (OMA – 1992)
When we talk about Kunsthal, we talk about circulation and the interactions between inside and outside.
When we talk about sport, we talk about power.
So we decide to create a progression for the different sport-steps, working with the mass.
The course begins with the changing rooms followed by the showers.
The positions of the walls induce the pace of the visitor. He just has to go to the high jump, follows by the calisthenics rings.
After that he has to begin the ascents to the swimming pool and then to the bar.
But before this step, he can stop on the bleachers to look to the divers for few minutes.
Then he can return in the traps, stand with the eyes at the level of the park, and go to the shower.
To this end he can also stop on the first floor, go to the tumbling and just be induce by the form of the deck to go down along the ramp.
