The crisis we are experiencing has changed our way of seeing the world. We can no longer relate directly to each other, isolation and social distance has become our new daily routine. We are forced to change, and so is the architecture.
This project, When exterior meets interior, consists of a module of housing of 16 x4,3 meters with two bedrooms, an area in the center that contains the bathroom and kitchen, and a living room. In this last area, the ground is a platform that folds and hides itself, revealing a 1m high gap covered by grass. The living room becomes a private garden.
Our proposal for the alternative housing model, is a way of returning the residents to their old life, bringing the outdoors, the countryside, the nature, to the living room of their own home, in case of a new isolation situation.
It’s time to stop being afraid of people and relationships and learn to take a deep breath of fresh air at home.
