-EDITORIAL PICK of Waterless World Competition
Oasis is a disruptive node that creates ecosystems, it grows from the ruins of service stations, transforming consumer spaces into freshwater generating machines focused on the sustainable use of water, constituting a simulation of its natural cycle and a biodiverse habitat. The process begins with the capture of water through condensing spores of clouds and fog at the top of the structure and scattered rainwater receivers in it. The captured water is subsequently filtered to be used in a traditional agriculture system in floating spores by levitation that moves to search atmospheric humidity to condense, and a hydroponic agriculture system that allows food security. Part of the clean water is distributed to all species with a sustainable and responsible use through equitable distribution that generates new collective dynamics and turns Oasis into a social construct. Wastewater is subjected to recycling processes for its continuous use, following a circular metabolism scheme. Finally, the wastewater that has completed several cycles will be treated and released into the environment without any contaminating element, greening its environment, and rebuilding the home of all species.
