-FINALIST of Hong Kong Drone Port Competition
The project highlights obsolesce of a traditional airport order and proposes new typology of Urban Mobility. The Concept consists of two scales:
- Inter Mobility – serves throughout the country as an extension of existing airports (1st Poster)
- Inner Mobility is an attempt to bring drone in the same notion as a bus – for people to use on daily basis. Stations are located high as an add-on for towers of Hong Kong. (2nd Poster)
Located in densely populated city as Hong Kong – each square meter is priceless. That is why by referring to natural pine cone structure we introduced a sophisticated way of locating the drone hubs around the city consuming as less space as possible. Similar to a pine cone, most of the time drone units remain closed. However If drone is called unit opens and passengers embark. Then unit closes back (3rd Poster). Therefore we save the space without compromising on functions.
Finally METAir will breathe in new Doze of Oxygen to the city, assisting people in daily routines and purifying the air.
