The project area it is about a trail of Mount Chortiatis (Thessaloniki regional unit), used for ice making and transfer to Thessaloniki but also as a water route to the town. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, people escape towards nature and outdoor activities and Chortiatis is one of the most convenient places for Thessaloniki’s citizens. Thus, the aim of the project is to reveal the traces of history and help people discover them as they discover the unique landscape in order to redefine their relationship with the natural environment and protect it, through an informal and natural museum. Using the detailed landscape analysis as the main tool, examining the main ecological and social characteristics of the path, we suggest information points, outdoor (open-air) museums and many other activities such as playing, picnics, meditation with minimum human intervention. Focal points of the project were the history elements found on the path and the view points, all pointed in harmony with the natural environment.
