-EDITORIAL PICK of Hong Kong Drone Port Competition
Under the current situation of land utilization rate in Hong Kong, the project site is located in The Tamar Cultural Plaza , with a frame steel structure, elevated at the bottom to minimize the footprint, two underground levels, and tunnel entrances connected to the city road for centralized collection and delivery of goods.
The current development of courier business and logistics, the cost of manpower and various unfavorable factors have led to the last mile of online shopping becoming a gap. The population and density of Hong Kong makes the city’s ground transportation system bear huge pressure. The rapid development of the drone industry is expected to complement the city’s vertical transportation network and be applied to a wide range of cargo transportation, while allowing last mile delivery to be addressed.
Cargo transportation has to match the fast-paced urban life, and we designed the building with the main starting point of accommodating the take-off and landing of drones for sending and receiving cargo. The meticulous process setting can guarantee the high-speed operation of streamlined operations. Thanks to the development of unmanned operation and big data intelligence, the drone port building can achieve a high degree of intensive work.
