Drone-Park is a Vertiport situated in the Central District of Hong Kong and uses the old Edinburgh Place Car-Park as its base to transforms it into a future-oriented and sustainable Air Mobility Hub by providing a range of different types of Drone Transportation to the citizens of the district, ranging from small and large goods delivery to personal and shared transportation.
It achieves this by providing separate spaces for each transportation need on different floor levels, all combined under a colourful Timber and Glass Shell which acts as a shared public space and is connected to the mobility network of the city, such as the nearby Ferry Piers, Train Stations, and Bus Stops.
The building shell provides general protection from the environment while still being open so that passengers can get a view over the waterfront from the elevated walkway in the front before catching a Drone to their destination. The rear part of the building features all the technical facilities to service the electric drones such as the launch pad and parking positions and to manage the incoming and outgoing goods.
