-FINALIST of Hong Kong Drone Port Competition
Due to the uneven distribution of green space in HK city, we propose a brand new sharing economy system called “green-break” for botanical gardens. This system includes a drone port in the Central District, different types of drones, and several receivers on the exterior of buildings. The details will be illustrated in the following paragraphs.
First of all, we chose the HSBC Main Building as the site of the drone port. It contains a large greenhouse inside the building to supply the system. Then, a recognizable parking and delivery system is hung on the exterior wall with an irrigating and electric supply system. Later on, there may be more and more ports to compose a green net in the city.
Second, there are two types of bladeless drones. The bigger one carries green turf, and the other can bear trees. They can be composed randomly to form unique gardens.
Finally, the orange channels are designed to receive drones. They can change altitude by lifting rails, to serve different users at different times. Now, with the flexibility, taking a green break in the sky has become an option for everyone in HK whenever and wherever they need to relax.
