Fast forward to the year of 2072, Hong Kong is split into two parallel universes – with the first universe that marks the unfortunate 20th year of war and the other one living in the ideal of humanity.
And here we are a few decades later, seeing weapons that were once only imaginary in science fiction movies come to life right before our eyes. The Control Tower – a pagoda-inspired architecture quicky rises to power and takes its dominance. Scattered across the already packed landscape in Hong Kong, the tower with its extended arms just oversees everything – the infrastructure, the buildings, the temples and you. It would definitely be unfortunate enough if you are caught under one of their laser rays, a camouflaged concrete landscape, utilizing the underground space will therefore be the only way for survival to hide away from the surveillance.
On the other side of the universe where perpetual peace is celebrated, this is the ideal of humanity. Living under this utopian set up, Hong Kong has evolved into a vibrant self- sustainable hub. The future envisions floating islands along the Victoria Harbour as energy renewal pods that float through the centre of the populated city.
