Of course war is evil and we all understand that. But when we talk about it in the abstract and it is somewhere far away from us and does not concern us we try not to notice it. But now we are forced into a situation where it is as close to us as possible and everyone can really understand the contrast between ordinary life and war. It’s a terrifying distinction, and it’s reflected in my work.

The conceptual drawing shows the difference between war and peace, through the sight of the city as an example. The right-hand side of the illustration shows war and fear oozing out of every crevice. The main focus of the concept of constantly fighting world is fear, destruction and emptiness. There are no people on the streets, and the only place to find them is the shelters. In contrast to fighting world is the left side of the picture, which shows something like Utopia, although it is simply the normal course of life. With a active social life, calmness and cleanliness. I also show how the same features of the urban environment can be used in different ways: house windows as loopholes, the canopy as shelters and so on.

The main thing I want to show in my project is that the feeling of peace and safety, which I think is the main basis for the normal development of a society, is contrasted with the anxiety and fear which are faced with the facts and don’t allow to look around.
