The cavity is a shelter in the nature. It is an empty space within a solid object. Many living things in nature find life in tree or groves. In this design proposal, the space opened in the topography is spatialized as open-semi open places. There are green areas and woodlands around the design site. The continuity of the vegetation is considered significant, and the location of the designed building has been determined in such a way that forest will be interfered with the least. The designed cafeteria remains hidden inside the woodland. The only element that emphasizes the entrance of the proposal design stands out as the viewing tower and its flagpole (requirement of the project).
Thanks to the social and spatial relations of the cavity, it is possible to meet green in nature. This situation will contribute to our daily life and initiate the change. This change begins with the discovery of nature and our geography. It proposes to develop new form of perception at the act of building. The architectural proposal, in which visibility remains in the background, where it is desired to explore in the lower layers of nature, and which leaks the user through the gaps, aims to improve the relationship between human-nature-city.
The design focused on five main factors/components.
- TOPOGRAPHY: Slopes, slits and orientation
- NATURE: Woodland and green areas
- SPACE: Areas obtained by splitting the topography
- CITY-CULTURE-PROGRAM: exhibition, cafeteria
- OPEN AND SEMI-OPEN INTERACTION/UNİTY AREAS: Viewing terraces, green amphitheater, green event areas
Project Type
