Shandong is a landscape modified by human activities in the past via stone and coal mining. This resulted to a wounded and damaged landscape ecosystem. ECO-PILGRIMAGE : NATURE REDEMPTION is a positive intervention of showing that the current injured state is rectifiable by the redemptive capabilities of nature and human.
ECO PILGRIMAGE : NATURE REDEMPTION journey is designed according to several concepts :
+ Embrace discomfort in nature.
+ Assimilation of man-made and nature.
+ Stimulate senses and memory.
+ Discovering perception and sensation
Environmental concerns were addressed through composting for soil decontamination and soil structuring, local vegetation planting to improve biodiversity, renewable energy sculptures and installations for clean energy, and green branching concept to recover the whole landscape.
ECO-PILGRIMAGE : NATURE REDEMPTION promises spiritual and physical development destination. It is a journey of reflection and transformation in order to re-establish the ties between man, nature and heritage.
