Our proposal is a memorial promenade that takes the wounds caused on the topography, taking up the routes made by mining destruction and replicating them for a human scale, althought it acts in an inverse way: as a self-regenerating instrument.
The promenade will overturn a significant symbolic load, inserting a series of elements that represent the material that was taken from the original landscape, placing cubes covered with the materials extracted from the land in selected sight spots, transforming what has been destroyed in a representation of its final raw product, making us conscious of the little amount of matter that is really produced with all the damage as we’re walking. An epilogue throughout the development that reveals the collective history of the place.
Mostly, memorial hill seeks to be a space for reflection, which offers a feeling of tranquility, in contrast to the magnitude of the void caused by the destructive power of the man which fosters a pontering attitude towards the exploitation practice.
