Intermodal Threshold materializes the different urban elements necessary in the mobility of the city. It honors connectivity as an integrating agent. By creating a gateway on each side of the IJ river, the bridge allows to incorporate into the system all the agents: the pedestrian, the cyclist, the boats, the vehicles and the urban spaces that allow the relationships between them. Likewise, it is these dynamics that are building Amsterdam; with efficiency, connectivity and the inclusion of all the actors of the city, the bridge becomes another example of its culture. The infrastructure of the project adapts to the environment and responds to the needs of each of the actors involved, hosting a mixed program turns this intervention into a new unconventional urban space.
