Start, finish … repeat.
Just as a line, the proposal starts with two points or places that must be connected or communicated. The solution? A bridge. But how should it be? Should it be an ephemeral place? How will it feel? We questioned and rethink the problem from another angle. It should be a place of continuous exploration, awe and wonder. A space to exercise, walk, run, interact, contemplate or simply to enter and exit. We propose a circuit that contains different activities as an added value.
Each technical variable (Angle, percentage of inclination for cyclists or pedestrians and free height distance for cargo ships underneath and over the bridge) are resolved with a single gesture, an ellipse inclined in its elevation. A place of two different realities at their extremes in sensory terms. One side is submerged in the water creating a surreal experience with its glass ceiling. Fish swimming over the viewers and big ships floating and moving all that ton of metal like feathers blown by the wind. The other end is raised to open air contemplating its morphology and the city. Both experiences are connected in a continuous journey giving rise to “The Loop”.
