The Amsterdam Roundabout is a harbinger, connecting the North and South in a new, valiant effort. It enables efficient transportation between the two shores for pedestrians, both walking and biking. With curvilinear paths forming an effective circulation system, in which users with different modes of transportation can separately journey at ease, the bridge facilitates a safe travelling environment. Moreover, its users are invited to observe the stunning view across the River IJ on the green zones maintained specifically for recreational use. In these green zones, the users may take a quick break between their commutes in careful arrangements of grass and flowers. Another notable aspect of the Amsterdam Roundabout is the height. It is elevated at +24m from sea level, allowing containerships with 2-3 containers to pass through underneath with ease. Overall, in an expressive visual language, the Amsterdam Roundabout provides both mobility and recreation for the commuters of Amsterdam.
