–EDITORIAL PICK of Re-Nature Rome Competition
The city of Rome has a deep history from the existence of human beings to the present. This enormous city, which has existed for close to two millennia, is in a state of constant growth. It does this act of growth by destroying nature and spreading the urban instead. This unceasing growth of the city causes nature not to find a place for itself, to be damaged and to try to find a place for itself in the urban. The dominance of cities over nature has reached such a point that if we do not intervene, nature will begin to disappear. City is at war with nature. If nature is the loser of the war between nature and the city, there will be no winner in the war. If we want to win, we must lose the war. We must let nature take over the whole city. We should expect nature to repair the biological environment that we have destroyed by urbanization. We must stop clipping nature to build structures. We must cover the city with nature. Although man has built magnificent structures such as the Colleseum, we must allow nature to crop or even destroy cities.
