The project proposes a vision for Rome where the idea of the wild becomes an integral part of the urban system. It suggests a model of conception of the city based on conscious practices by humans with the purpose of care and maintenance of the environment essential to the collective well-being, in which nature is no longer perceived as an invasive element or degradation.
Nowadays, the urban green is concentrated in specific points, lines, and surfaces without ever really invading the built environment. “Co-living Wild” intends to conquer the areas closest to and within the built environment, not proposing a scenario of total reconquest and domination by nature, but an idea of coexistence and care by citizens towards the new habitats. The most important action proposed is the opening of new lands in all the spaces necessary to create an urban image able to accommodate the natural elements in their entirety, from the planting of trees to the creation of green and aquatic surfaces.
In this perspective, the indispensable attitude becomes the acceptance of a world often considered an enemy, establishing a new way of living the city.
