Seen through the lens of urban beautification, the new potential addresses the issue of ecosystem restoration, thus reimagining existing Rome as a newly found botanic garden. The meaning of a place can be transformed by an urban project that alters the built environment or current functions of the location in which it intervenes, especially for individuals who live there. It is important to address the need for mental health support and stress reduction. By giving Rome a new and improved environment, we help raise awareness, as well as give inhabitants a safe space where they can express themselves. This idea also has an influence on the city as a living organism, helping the city ‘breathe’ by enhancing the tree zones and adding water canals to those spaces that can accommodate it. Parallel to addressing mental health we focusesd on physical health as well, by implementing new green roofs that consists of various terraces, gardens, public spaces, spaces where children can play, as well as agriculture. The project is contrived in a way that fully embraces a better lifestyle.
